The Life You Choose

One Mirror.
One Choice.
Every Day.

Most of us do not choose our lives all at once.
We choose them in small moments.

In the thoughts we believe.

The habits we repeat.

The emotions we follow.

The things we tolerate.

And the choices we make when no one is watching.

Amira Mor, The Life You Choose

The method

Two quiet moments a day.
Twenty-four weeks.

This is not a course you watch. It is a practice you live — a question in the morning, carried through your day, and answered honestly at night.

  1. Morning

    Look

A short reading, a practice for the day, and one line to carry with you.

  2. Through the day

    Choose

You notice. You pause. In that pause, a choice becomes possible.

  3. Evening

    Live

One question. You answer it in your own words, for no one but yourself.

Week one, day one — exactly as it appears

This morning's mirror · Day 1

Just Notice

Awareness does not begin with change.

It begins with noticing.

Today's practice

Whenever you catch yourself on autopilot, quietly say:

“I'm noticing.”

Then continue your day.

Carry this with you

What I can notice, I can eventually choose.

Pause. Choose. Live.

The shape of it

Four journeys

The book is in four parts. So is the practice — otherwise twenty-four weeks arrive all at once and overwhelm.

One

Awaken

Seeing the unconscious life you have been living.

Weeks 1–6
Two

Understand

Understanding what has been shaping your inner life.

Weeks 7–13
Three

Become

Creating your chosen character and becoming whole.

Weeks 14–20
Four

Live Fully

Living consciously, knowing that your life is limited and precious.

Weeks 21–24

One hundred and sixty-eight days

The whole journey, at a glance

Every mirror is one day. Every row is one week. You will not do them all at once — only the one in front of you.

24 weeks · 168 mirrors · 25 keys

What changes

From repeating
to choosing

The four journeys are not four subjects. They are one movement — from living a life by habit to living one you have chosen.

Awaken Understand Become Live Fully Autopilot Conscious choice

Twenty-five keys

One key for your intention. Twenty-four keys for the journey.
Each completed week gives you one — not a badge, not a score. A reminder of what you were willing to see.

Where it comes from

The Life You Choose

Every mirror, every question and every key in this practice comes from Amira Mor's book. The app does not replace it — it is where you live it, one day at a time.

“A meaningful life is not found. It is shaped by awareness, choice by choice.”

Portrait of author Amira Mor

The author of the method

Amira Mor

Author, creator and internationally recognised performer. Across four decades she built a career as a dancer, choreographer, director and producer — choreographing New York City Ballet dancers at Lincoln Center, performing for U.S. troops in Guantánamo Bay, and appearing in Sex and the City 2.

Her own path through success, loss and reinvention became the questions behind this work: Who are we beneath our stories? How much of our lives are we consciously choosing?
